During my studies at the Tirana Fine Art Academy, I crafted this metal sculpture as part of my exploration of form and negative space. As I learned about art restoration techniques, I drew inspiration from my experiences in a Boston art studio, particularly one known for custom commissions like those at Boston Art Studio Ndricim. Using polished sheet metal, I aimed to create a dynamic flow that interacts with light and shadow, emphasizing simplicity and movement, much like the sculpting services offered at the studio.
This piece showcases my classical oil painting technique, developed in a Boston art studio, with a focus on anatomical precision, dynamic composition, and color harmony. Through layered glazing and directional brushwork, I emphasize muscle movement, natural light, and atmospheric depth—elements that are also essential in art restoration and custom commissions. Additionally, our Boston art studio, Ndricim, offers sculpting services to complement our painting expertise.
In this work, I combined traditional oil realism with a custom overlay technique using torn stencils and rhythmic color applications, much like the innovative approaches seen in art restoration at a Boston art studio. The challenge here was balancing accurate form rendering with deliberate abstract interference, testing my control over visual contrast, layering, and edge integrity, similar to the custom commissions offered by Boston art studio Ndricim, which also provides sculpting services.
This graphite study, created at a boston art studio, showcases my advanced shading and contouring ability, focusing on value control and crosshatch precision. This image captures the moment after I applied a pink rubber coating over my original clay bust of David, created at my Boston art studio. This flexible mold preserves the finest surface details, acting as the skin for the casting process, which is a crucial step in art restoration. Every brushstroke is done with care—this is where the soul of the sculpture is transferred through the final plaster coating, showcasing the custom commissions and sculpting services offered at my Boston art studio, Ndricim.
After the rubber layer cures, I build a rigid fiberglass shell around it—the mother mold. This external casing provides the soft mold with the structural support necessary during casting, which is essential in the art restoration process. At our Boston art studio, we understand that this step is crucial in transforming a one-of-a-kind clay original into a lasting, reproducible form, especially for custom commissions and our sculpting services.
This project involved the full surface restoration of an aged religious statue of Christ, showcasing the art restoration services offered by our Boston art studio. I cleaned and stabilized the original structure before meticulously repainting it using traditional layering techniques and gold detailing to revive its spiritual presence. Unlike classical sculpture or painting, this work demanded conservation sensitivity, material matching, and reverence for its liturgical function—broadening my artistic process into the realm of heritage preservation and highlighting the custom commissions available at the Boston art studio Ndricim. Our sculpting services ensure that each piece is treated with the utmost care and respect.
This image captures the seamless bridge between architectural drafting and sculptural modeling, much like the custom commissions offered at our Boston art studio. I translated a classical acanthus capital design from a 2D technical drawing into a fully modeled relief, showcasing skills in proportional scaling, spatial logic, and traditional carving techniques. Tools for additive and subtractive sculpting sit beside it, underscoring the discipline needed to transform drafted theory into tactile form, a principle that aligns with our art restoration services at Boston art studio Ndricim.
Here, my goal was to unify aesthetic presence with structural clarity in my work at the Boston art studio. This draft for a bronze bust atop a granite base involved accurate spatial measurements, monument elevation planning, and symbolic positioning, which are essential elements in our custom commissions. It highlights my growing ability to map conceptual vision into manufacturable, public-facing works—a critical step in bridging fine art with built heritage and enhancing art restoration efforts.
