When the original hands of this marble statue were damaged beyond repair, our boston art studio, known for expert art restoration and custom commissions, carefully sculpted entirely new replacements from matching marble blocks. The Artistic Process
Rubber Mold Layering
This image captures the moment after I applied a pink rubber coating over my original clay bust of David, created at my Boston art studio. This flexible mold preserves the finest surface details, acting as the skin for the casting process, which is a crucial step in art restoration. Every brushstroke is done with care—this is where the soul of the sculpture is transferred through the final plaster coating, showcasing the custom commissions and sculpting services offered at my Boston art studio, Ndricim.
Casting
After the rubber layer cures, I build a rigid fiberglass shell around it—the mother mold. This external casing provides the soft mold with the structural support necessary during casting, which is essential in the art restoration process. Paint and Surface Renewal
This project involved the full surface restoration of an aged religious statue of Christ, showcasing the art restoration services offered by our Boston art studio. I cleaned and stabilized the original structure before meticulously repainting it using traditional layering techniques and gold detailing to revive its spiritual presence. Modeling Translation

I translated a classical acanthus capital design from a 2D technical drawing into a fully modeled relief, showcasing skills in proportional scaling, spatial logic, and traditional carving techniques. Monument Design Draft
Here, my goal was to unify aesthetic presence with structural clarity in my work at the Boston art studio. This draft for a bronze bust atop a granite base involved accurate spatial measurements, monument elevation planning, and symbolic positioning, which are essential elements in our custom commissions. It highlights my growing ability to map conceptual vision into manufacturable, public-facing works—a critical step in bridging fine art with built heritage and enhancing art restoration efforts.
